Trend’s IQ® controller range includes variants with native BACnet communication capability. BACnet over IP enables the controller to integrate seamlessly with other BACnet devices. The BACnet capable IQ®VISION supervisor not only enables monitoring and adjustment of all Trend’s IQ® controllers but also other manufacturers BACnet devices. Importantly, Trend’s approach to BACnet in both the IQ®4 and IQ®VISION supervisor maintains existing engineering and operating methods, giving customers a consistent and familiar approach.
IQVISION is a building monitoring and management solution built upon the powerful Niagara 4 platform. It is capable of integrating Trend controllers, third party devices and internet protocols into a centralised software platform that is designed to manage buildings at an enterprise level.
IQVISION serves real-time graphical information to standard web-browser clients and also provides server-level functions such as: centralized data logging, archiving, alarming, trending, master scheduling, system-wide database management, and integration with enterprise software applications – all of which can be used for highlighting and investigating energy use with in buildings.
Trend I/O Modules convert either digital input signals into an analogue signal to be read by the controller, or an analogue signal from the controller to a number of stages of relay output. They act as an interface between the controller and heating and ventilating equipment.
• The Digital Input Expander allows 4 volt free inputs to be monitored by a single analogue input channel. The resultant analogue value can be decoded by the A to D Function Module in an IQ controller to produce internal digital status bits for alarm monitoring or other status input applications.
• The Single Relay Module (SRM) enables a controller output signal to drive a single changeover relay. The 2SRM houses two single relays.
• The Two Relay Module (2RM) may be configured as a high/low or a raise/lower relay module by link selection.
• The Three Relay Module (3RM) may be configured as a Fan/Heating/Cooling sequence controller (HCM) or a 3 stage sequence controller (TRM) using the operating mode link.
• The Six Relay Module (6RM) converts an analogue output of an IQ controller to six stages of relay output.
• The Voltage to Current Driver is a two channel output interface which converts two 0 to 10V signals into two 0 to 20 mA outputs.
• The Dual Phase Cut Module converts two controller analogue output signals to two 20 V phase cut signals for controlling valves and actuators in heating and ventilating equipment. Opto-isolation is used to isolate the control signals from the outputs to ensure that no ground conflicts can occur.

The Trend Open Network Node (TONN) is a Trend network device that enables the Trend system to interface with 3rd party systems such as BACnet, LONWORKS, Mbus, MODBUS, SNMP, and KNX. It utilises the NiagaraAX Framework for the integration of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and non-HVAC systems (e.g. lighting) in a building. TONN reads the required data from the 3rd party systems, and makes it available to IQ3 controllers. Data from the controllers can be made available to the 3rd party systems to provide a single supervisory option. TONN enables values from the Trend system to be read and written by the 3rd party systems connected to the TONN, and for the Trend system to read values from and write values to the 3rd party systems.

• Supplied with drivers for BACnet IP, BACnet MSTP, EIB/KNX IP, LONFTT, LON IP, MODBUSRTU Master, MODBUSRTU Slave, MODBUSTCP Master, MODBUSTCP Slave, MBus Serial, MBus IP, oBIX, and SNMP systems.
• Additional optional drivers available: Flex over RS232 or RS485, Micros Fidelio hotel room booking system (IP), Global Cache, Horstmann serial, Helvar serial, American Automatrics PHP over RS232 or RS485 and American Automatrics PUP over RS232 or RS485.
• Read and write values from 3rd party systems.
• Read and write Trend system values from/to 3rd party systems.
• DIN rail or surface mounting.
• 2 Ethernet ports, 1 x RS232 port, and 1 x RS485 port.
